Diagnostic description:
Small- to medium-sized tree, to 20 m tall, 50 cm dbh. Flowers small, unisexual, possibly dioecious, drupes up to 3 cm long with persistent calyx at apex, red with stellate hairs.
Global Distribution:
Lower Guinea, in SE Nigeria and W Cameroons, and into E Cameroun and Gabon.
