SUMMARY
Shrub 3-7 m tall, rarely tree reaching 8 m, shoots hairy. Leaf petiole 0.4 to 1 cm long, blade elliptic, apex acuminate, 3-9 x 10 to 19.5 cm, base obtuse, 5 - 8 pairs of secondary veins, domatia absent; stipules deltoid, 0.3-1 cm long and 0.4-0.7 cm wide at base. Flowers solitary, sessile, calyx pubescent outside, with a long tube 2.5-6 cm, lobes 5, linear, 2.5-5 cm long, corolla hairy whitish, tube13.5 - 20 cm long, with 5 lobes of 1-4 cm long, overlapping to the right in the bud; anthers vesatile; ovarry lobed; style furrowed. Fruits ellipsoid, 2-3 x 5.5-6.5 cm; calyx tube persistent; pericarp thick. Seeds numerous.
