Small tree common on rock outcrops, branching low, flowers bisexual, in axillary fascicles. Fruits ellipsoid, red at maturity, 2 cm long and 1-1.5 cm wide, 1-seeded, animal-dispersed.

Lower Guinea and Congo Basin, from Nigeria to Eastern Republic of Congo.
