SUMMARY
Leaves with petiole 3-5 mm long, blade oblong obovate, (3) 3.3-4.1 (5.5) times as long as wide, acute at base, very acute and long acuminate at apex (acumen of (1.2) 1.5-2 (3) cm long, (12) 16-23 (30) cm long and 3-6 (9) cm wide, with marginal glands more developed in the lower surface; secondary veins 8 -10 pairs, looped before the margin. Fascicles axillary or cauline. Flowers with calyx smooth or warty, very shortly puberulent, usually not more than 7-9 mm diam., lobes with (2) 3 glands towards the apex, corolla up to 45 mm diam., but generally smaller. Fruits strongly 5-10-lobed, depressed at the ends, 2-2.5 cm long and 4.5-5.5 cm in diameter. Seeds reniform, 17 mm long, 14-15 mm wide and 9-10 mm thick.
